Biography

Rob Woodburn is a veteran talent executive with over 25 years of experience across the U.S. and Australian entertainment industries. He is the Founder and Director of RWA—built from the ground up and now recognised as “A New Standard in Talent Representation” and one of “15 Australian Talent Management Agencies to Watch” by The Australian Business Journal.

Rob began his career at the William Morris Agency in Los Angeles before joining ROAR as a talent manager. He later launched the Film & Television Division at Jet Set Models in California. In 2006, he relocated to Australia to serve as Partner and Head of the Feature Film & Television Division at Artist & Entertainment Group (AEG)—then the country’s largest talent agency—where he played a key role in expanding the screen division and supporting the agency’s IPO.

Across his career, Rob has championed a diverse slate of talent—guiding creative professionals across film, television, theatre, music, sport, and culture. Known for his strategic foresight and cross-market fluency, he has collaborated with leading creatives, studios, and networks across continents. In 2014, he became the first Australian-based rep to package and executive produce a feature under the Hollywood model with John Doe: Vigilante.

His influence extends beyond talent management. Rob has served on advisory boards for organisations including Westpac Banking Corporation, the Sydney Blue Sox (Australian Baseball League/MLB International), and the NSW Origin Legends (National Rugby League). His work has been profiled in Authority Magazine, Deadline Hollywood, Variety, The Australian Business Journal, FilmInk, InsideFilm, and more. He is also a multi-time “Best Talent Agent” award recipient, recognised during his tenure at AEG for leadership and results-driven advocacy.

A U.S. Navy veteran and former NCAA athlete, Rob holds dual U.S.–Australian citizenship and a B.S. in Social Sciences from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Now based in Sydney, he brings real-world Hollywood experience to the Australian market—championing RWA’s roster, forming strategic alliances, and shaping long-term careers with a cross-cultural lens.​​​​​
