Looking back at his time with Screenwise, Sam has credited his success on having a strong understanding and experience of the film and television industry through the Showreel course.
“Studying at Screenwise with casting directors, directors, agents and top actors who know what is expected from the industry and are currently working in it, provided me with an environment as close as possible to the real thing. So, when I had an audition or a TVC or a Film, I was prepared and ready to play. I don’t know anywhere else in Australia where you can get that!”
Since graduating from the Showreel Course in 2015, Sam Webb has become a familiar face within the television industry from appearing on the world-renowned reality TV show Australian Survivor in 2016 and most recently on Neighbours.
Sam Webb recently shared his on-set journey with the cast and crew of Neighbours: “You guys have made me feel very welcome and I thank you for that wholeheartedly. I’ll never forget this day and these first scripts, as this has been something I have wanted to achieve for a very long time. Thank you to everyone who has wished me luck, I couldn’t have done this without my family in my corner. Thanks to my manager and good friend Rob Woodburn (RWA) for being so patient with me and of course the wonderful Denise Roberts for training me at Screenwise. I am looking forward to learning, listening and working very hard.”
Using his platform of success and life experiences, Sam is making a difference in people’s lives through LIVIN – an organisation that is changing the way society understands, perceives and interprets mental illness. In 2017, Sam will be producing his own show called “Vulnerabl” where he will be speaking with people from all walks of life, about life.
