Founder Rob Woodburn began his entertainment career at the William Morris Agency in Los Angeles before moving into talent management at ROAR, working with actors across major studio films and network television. He later created and led the Film & Television Division at Jet Set Models in California, where the division generated more than US$1 million in its first year including ten series-regular roles for its clients across network and cable television.
In 2006, Rob was recruited to Sydney to lead the Feature Film & Television Division of Artist & Entertainment Group, then Australia’s largest talent agency. He was promoted to Partner within twelve months. Three years later, he founded RWA, bringing together the commercial discipline of an agent, the long view of a manager and the personal investment that meaningful representation demands.
That philosophy also shapes who RWA chooses to represent. Throughout his career, Rob has worked with Academy Award, Emmy, SAG, AACTA and Logie Award winners and nominees, while also recognising exceptional talent long before it became widely known. That perspective continues to shape how RWA evaluates talent and guides the careers of every actor represented by the agency.
Today, RWA works across Australia and internationally, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe. The agency remains intentionally personal and directly led by its founder. Clients deal with the person whose experience shaped the company and whose name is on the door. The roster spans actors at different stages of their careers but remains intentionally selective, allowing RWA to invest meaningfully in every client and the career they are building.
